Deep link generator for app-opening links
Turn a supported destination into a short link that attempts to open the right mobile app when supported—and keeps the original website available as a fallback.
Create your app-opening short link
Supported destinations are recognized automatically. When available, customize app opening and web continuation in Advanced options → Opening settings.
Create in three steps
One real flow from destination to shareable link.
Paste a destination
Add the public URL you want to shorten. Supported app destinations are detected automatically.
Choose the behavior
Paste and create as usual, or expand Advanced options → Opening settings when the updated controls are available.
Create and share
Create a real Link Shrink URL, then share it directly or use its implemented QR code and analytics tools.
Four clear opening controls
Choose behavior based on the destination and your audience.
Open in app when possible
Try to open supported links in their native app. If it cannot open, visitors can continue on the web.
Unavailable for unsupported destinations.
Open web version in
When continuing on the web, try to leave supported in-app browsers. Some apps may prevent this.
External browser (recommended), when available, or Current browser.
Show bridge page
Show a page with app and browser options before continuing.
Ordinary browser and desktop visits can remain direct when no handoff is needed.
Continue to web automatically
If this page remains visible, continue to the web after the selected delay.
Off by default. With a bridge page, choose a whole-number delay from 1 to 30 seconds.
When available, find these controls in Advanced options → Opening settings. Existing links retain their legacy behavior until you customize and save opening settings. Without a bridge page, LinkShrink attempts to continue automatically; password and consent requirements still apply.
OS settings and host webview restrictions can block attempts; success is not guaranteed. TikTok may show manual instructions: use its menu and choose Open in browser when available.
Updated controls depend on runtime availability. Existing links keep their previous behavior until you explicitly customize and save opening settings.
Supported app destinations
Support is sourced from Link Shrink's current app registry.
Built for links people tap on mobile
Creators
Route viewers from bios, newsletters, and social posts toward supported video, music, and social apps.
Affiliates
Use compact links for supported product and content destinations while retaining a web fallback.
Ecommerce
Send mobile shoppers toward supported marketplace content and keep the destination available on the web.
Fallbacks and real-world limitations
App and external-browser opening are attempts, not guarantees. Results vary by app installation, iOS or Android settings, browser, and the host webview. Restricted in-app browsers may block the transition; TikTok may require a manual Open in browser action. The original web URL is retained as the fallback for native-app links.

What is a deep link generator?
It creates a shareable link that can attempt to open supported content in an installed app instead of only loading the ordinary website.
Does the app need to be installed?
For native-app opening, yes. If the app is unavailable or the attempt is blocked, the original web destination remains the fallback.
Can it force Safari, Chrome, or another browser?
No. External-browser behavior is best-effort. Mobile operating systems and host webviews decide what transitions are permitted.
What happens inside TikTok or another in-app browser?
Some in-app browsers restrict app launches or external-browser transitions. TikTok may require the visitor to choose Open in browser manually.
Do I need an account?
You can create an anonymous short link here and supported destinations can use native-app detection. Sign in for the full mode selector when that capability is enabled in the running app.
